Tammy Podgis, LMT, NCTMB has been doing massage and bodywork for over 18 years. She specializes in stress relief and working with neck and upper back/shoulder pain issues. She has helped clients with a variety of issues like neck pain, shoulder problems, low back pain or leg issues.

Tammy takes a spiritual holistic approach to her work. She believes that the body has its own innate wisdom to heal. Your body lets her know what needs to be done to unwind to restore balance and healing. The techniques she uses are about listening to your body and letting the body find its own natural balance. Tammy is dispelling the myth to the statement "NO PAIN, NO GAIN" This is a false statement. In her many years of work experience, she has discovered that the more you force the body into what is not its true natural balance the tighter and restricted the body becomes.

Pain Relief and Healing

Tammy has been able to help many clients out of their pain and discomfort and at the same time help clients to become more body aware. So by taking the time to allow for your body to do its own unwinding and self-adjustments, the clients body increases freedom of movement and stops going into protection mode (restricted movement).

She looks for restriction of movement and goes thru the process of re-teaching the clients body to let go and relax. When movement is restored pain dissipates.

Tammy incorporates a variety of techniques into her sessions: Along with Ayurvedic techniques of Marma Therapy, Kansa Vatki Foot Massage, Ortho-Release, Trigger Point, Strain Counter-strain, Cranial Sacral, Trager movement Therapy, Kriya Massage, Visceral Manipulation, Myofacial Release.
